The Easiest Way to Go About Fundraising

By far the  easiest way to raise money for your favourite charity is to join a specialist Fundraising site.

Just Giving fund raising

The most well known is Just Giving which was launched in 1993.

Here's how it works:

Choose a charity, write a message, add a photo and your page is done.

Share your page with your friends by email, on Facebook or wherever you like. They can donate by credit or debit card, or through PayPal.

To learn more please go to: www.justgiving.com

Bmycharity Fundraising

Bmycharity was launched in 2002

How it works
Using Bmycharity to raise money for charity through online events fundraising is quick, easy, free and fun. All you need to do is:

  • Register.
  • Set up your fundraising homepage.
  • Email your personal homepage link to friends worldwide

Getting started
Visit Bmycharities homepage and enter the name of the charity you support in the top search box and they will take you to their Bmycharity site where you can set up your free personal sponsorship page. If the charity is not already registered with Bmycharity they can help them get started with online fundraising - just ask them to contact Bmycharity.

Virgin Money Giving Fundraising

A long-term commitment to raising more money for charity
When Virgin announced a new sponsorship agreement with the London Marathon starting in April 2010, they made a commitment to help runners raise a quarter of a billion pounds for charity over 5 years. Virgin Money Giving is going to play a key part in achieving this, making it easier than ever for fundraisers to raise even more sponsorship money.

But Virgin Money Giving is not just for marathon runners – they want to help all fundraisers raise more money, whatever event they take part in.

To do this, they will be charging charities the minimum fee to cover their administration costs only. And because they're not-for-profit, any extra money they do make will be pumped back into charities through future fee reductions or improvements to their service.

A better deal for charities
They want to offer all charities a fair, transparent fee structure, so they’ll only charge a single start-up fee of £100 plus VAT, and a fee of 2% of donations in order to cover our costs. Unlike other fundraising sites, we won't make any charge on the Gift Aid reclaimed from the Government. It will be reclaimed and passed to the charities in full.

 TESTIMONIALS
Here's what our members are saying ...
Thanks Katharine for responding and forwarding my question to Angela and Kate.  They provided me with some really good, sound advice to think about and now I will set and implement some realistic goals and quit being so hard on myself.

I love R4W!

When I became a member I was recovering from a serious injury caused by a car accident.  The support I got from the women on the forum was invaluable in my fight back to fitness.
I’ve gained in so much confidence and met some great people.  It’s the place I come if I need support, encouragement or just a kick sometimes!  Best of all it’s a place for just the girls!

R4W has made such a difference to my running and just about every other part of my life! Whether I need  training advice or tips, encouragement and support, I have found it on R4W.
It’s a unique site, just for women and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Since joining R4W, I have made many friends some of whom I have never even met and I have received more advice, friendship and motivation than I could ever have wished for.  I have also achieved many things I once thought were not possible.
So a big thanks to all at Running4Women without you none of this would have happened.
