Milton Keynes Half Marathon

The running of the Nike+ Milton Keynes Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 7th March. Come and join us in what promises to be a fantastic event. If you're running the Virgin London Marathon, this is ideal preparation for the big one. The course is flat, fast and well marshalled to ensure you get any assistance you need. You'll start on the roads of Milton Keynes and wind through some beautiful scenery, getting plenty of inspiration whatever your race-day goal – fun run, stepping stone to full marathon, personal challenge. Rushcliffe 10k Run

The very popular 10k race is back this year at Rushcliffe Country Park in Ruddington. The race starts at 10.30am and will be chip timed for the first time. A 2k fun run will also be held on the day, starting at 10.45 am and is open to all.

The 10k is suitable for runners aged 15 and over. The course involves two circuits of the country park and is off-road (traffic free). There are mementos for everyone taking part and prizes for the winners in various categories.

Cerebral Palsy Sport is the official charity of the Rushcliffe 10k. The charity helps children and adults with physical disabilities improve their physical and mental well being through participation in sport. If you would like to help raise vital funds, please request a sponsor form with your registration pack.

Anyone wanting to take part is encouraged to register early to ensure a place in the line-up. It represents a fantastic opportunity to get active and take part in a very well-organised event.

The event is delivered in Partnership with Rushcliffe Athletics Club and Cerebral Palsy Sport.

The Bath Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. It is also one of the largest charity fundraisers in the South West, raising over £1.2 million for charity last year alone. The course itself is fast and flat making it suitable for all abilities – for beginners whose key objective is to complete the course, to more regular long-distance event runners looking to beat their personal best time. It covers a two lap 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic free course straddling both sides of the River Avon. Miles for Missing People Run

On Saturday 13th March 2010, families of the missing will be joined by hundreds of supporters to run in memory of missing loved ones. Get fit and be part of this special event in aid of the charity Missing People.

Entries are now open, so sign up early as we are expecting this event to sell out quickly!

Whether you run or walk 6.2 miles (10k), it doesn't matter. What counts is being there for families of the missing!

Registration for this event is just £20. Missing People asks that each runner sets themselves a fundraising target. If you raised £150 it would enable Missing People to handle calls from families in crisis for a whole day. The more you raise, the more Missing People can do to help those in need.

The England Kilomathon runs from Nottingham to Derby on 14th March 2010 The Kilomathon (pronounced Kil-om-athon) is a 26.2 Kilometre Road Race that has been developed by GSi events, the same company that organise the Edinburgh Marathon, one of the fastest growing marathons in Europe. The series was launched by double Olympian Liz Yelling who said "this innovative event will be a new target distance for lots of runners, from experienced looking to develop their performance or runners looking for a different challenge".
